Welsh & Taylor Wealth is a growing independent wealth management firm based in Aberdeen, helping successful individuals, families and business owners make smarter financial decisions.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Technical Administrator to join our team and play a key role in supporting our advisers, paraplanners and clients. As our ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in administration and financial services, with exceptional attention to detail and a drive to succeed.

The Opportunity

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Financial Services Administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and is looking to build a long-term career within a growing wealth management business.

You'll work closely with advisers and paraplanners, helping ensure recommendations are implemented efficiently while maintaining the high standards of service our clients expect.

  • Preparing and processing new business applications
  • Managing Letters of Authority and provider requests
  • Obtaining pension, investment and protection information
  • Managing provider correspondence and provider follow-ups
  • Preparing meeting packs and presentations
  • Supporting advisers and paraplanners with case preparation
  • Assisting with suitability report preparation and business processing
  • Maintaining accurate client records and back-office systems
  • Liaising with clients, providers and professional connections
  • Monitoring and progressing business through to completion
  • Producing accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Using your initiative to deal with matters in a timely and effective manner.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) practice
  • Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and ISAs
  • Previous experience processing new business
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership

Appropriate training will be provided, but experience in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Desirable

  • Intelligent Office experience
  • Previous technical administrator experience
  • CII qualifications or studying towards qualifications
  • Experience supporting paraplanners or advisers
