Role: Technical Administrator

Location: Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent
Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday. Office Based.
Company: JM Partnerships

Job Purpose

To provide technical and administrative support within the Building Control team, ensuring statutory processes, regulatory submissions, project documentation, digital communications, and client engagement activities are managed accurately and efficiently.

The role acts as a liaison between administrative staff, technical surveyors, project managers, clients, local authorities, and external stakeholders, supporting the smooth delivery of Building Control services while also assisting with the company’s digital presence, communications, and operational support functions.

General Administrative Duties

  • Prepare and process Initial Notices for submission to Local Authorities in accordance with statutory requirements and Building Regulations procedures.
  • Prepare, issue, and distribute Final Certificates upon satisfactory completion of works.
  • Issue Cancellation Notices where required in accordance with Building Control procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with Local Authorities, clients, contractors, designers, and internal departments regarding statutory submissions and procedural matters.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant case records within the Building Control management system.
  • Carry out general administrative duties supporting regulatory compliance and case management.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, collaborative and productive team environment. Act in a professional and respectful manner to support the overall success and efficiency of the company.
  • To operate within JM Partnership part of Enevo terms and conditions, policies and quality assurance system.

Personal Specification

  • Strong understanding of Building Control processes and compliance requirements (or willingness to learn).
  • High attention to detail with strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Confident written communicator, able to chase and manage stakeholder actions effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple Building Control cases and prioritise workload.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently within regulatory frameworks.
