Technical Administrator

Hours: 37 hours. Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependant on experience)

Location: Baglan, Neath Port Talbot. Onsite only role

The Role

To maintain the technical specifications and bills of material of the finished product for production.

This role is predominantly office based with an element of shop floor presence/interaction with operators. It has a significant level of reporting and excel work so an attention to detail is important.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create the technical documents of the product, of raw and auxiliary materials and ensure their permanent updating
  • Manage the activities related to the creation of new products, providing the Marketing & Sales Area elements on the production cost
  • Check, develop, manage and modify the lay out, decorations and technical characteristics of the finished product and its wrap
  • Manage relationships with flexographer and printer suppliers
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to the permanent improvement of products, materials and of the products palletizing system
  • Guarantee an efficient management of the reference reporting
  • Create the production batches
  • Check the production amounts made and the raw materials used

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is desirable
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills, teamwork and leadership capability
  • Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, data formatting) to generate, clean, and analyze daily performance and status reports.
  • Knowledge of or a strong willingness to learn ERP systems and technical documentation workflows.
