About The Role

We are seeking a detail-orientated Technical Administrator to join the IG Lintels team, where you will be responsible for supporting engineers, mastering data entry and handling customer queries - you’ll be a central hub of support that keeps everything moving forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the first point of contact—handling technical calls and connecting customers to the right experts.
  • Monitor technical email enquiries and keep our engineers armed with everything they need to tackle the day.
  • Own the data entry process, turn plans and specifications into seamless schedules that help our teams stay on track.
  • Use our CRM system to log new enquiries, track quote progress, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Ensure quotes are filed, tracked, and completed, with accurate follow-up to our valued customers.
  • Help the team stay competitive by benchmarking prices and supporting on special product quotes.
  • Dive into drawings (training provided!) and build your technical know-how.
  • Run reports, support engineers, and provide top-tier technical and admin support.
  • Provide product comparisons and become a go-to guru for both internal teams and customers.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Success in this role comes from combining strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach and a drive to achieve results. You’ll be someone who enjoys building positive relationships, delivering excellent service. With the ability to stay organised, manage priorities and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, you’ll be motivated to contribute, develop your skills and make a positive impact as part of a supportive team.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A self-motivated and positive mindset, with the resilience and determination to deliver results.
  • Eagerness to learn—especially when it comes to products, systems, and technical details.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an administrative role or similar environment is preferred.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Administrative qualifications are advantageous.
