About The Role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Administrator to join our Living Places business unit within the Street Lighting team based in Coventry. This role provides vital administrative and technical support to help deliver effective street lighting operations, asset management, digital system improvements, and customer service excellence across the contract.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update inventory, planned maintenance, and asset records within management information systems.
- Support the delivery of LED street lighting projects, including system updates, reporting, and progress tracking.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies while ensuring the accuracy of operational records.
- Monitor and update business systems, mobile digital devices, and central management systems used across the contract.
- Manage reactive fault reporting and assist operational teams in meeting service delivery timescales.
- Support contractual reporting requirements and client enquiries.
- Coordinate permits and dig packs where works are required.
- Manage resident and customer communications, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Contribute to the delivery of the contract's social value initiatives and maintain associated records.
- Monitor toolbox talks, Zero Harm activities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Who we're looking for
- Strong administrative experience with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results.
- Good knowledge of business systems, digital technologies, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working.
- Good customer service skills and a commitment to providing excellent stakeholder support.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative when resolving issues.
- Commitment to health, safety, and right-first-time principles.

- Experience tracking project activity against deadlines and milestones.
