About the role

We are looking for a Technical Advisor to provide expert technical support to our global agent network, customers, onboard engineers, and internal stakeholders. This is a varied role that combines technical problem-solving, customer support, product expertise, and documentation management. Full product training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop into a recognised product expert.

  • Provide technical support and advice to customers, agents, onboard engineers, and internal teams.
  • Respond to technical enquiries via phone, email, and, where required, on-site visits.
  • Troubleshoot service issues and support resolution of technical queries.
  • Conduct class inspection meetings and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of at least one product line and work towards becoming a subject matter expert.
  • Create, maintain, and manage technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, training materials, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure technical documentation is released in line with manufacturing schedules and customer delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, Production, and Quality teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and customer experience.

Key requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical products and systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Confidence in making decisions and taking ownership of technical issues through to resolution.
