About Us:
Inference Group is a team of engineers and innovators who believe artificial intelligence can fundamentally improve the way organisations work. Our mission is to help businesses realise genuine value from data and AI - not just through prototypes, but by building solutions that work reliably in the real world.
We help our clients move faster, think smarter, and make better decisions by combining applied AI, data, and practical consulting. As we grow, we’re looking for people who are naturally curious, hands-on, and excited by the idea of learning as they go.
The Role:
We're looking for an AI Technical Business Analyst who combines strong analytical thinking with genuine hands-on AI experience. This is someone who is already experimenting with large language models, building AI-powered workflows, researching emerging technologies, and can confidently discuss the future of AI with senior leaders.
You’ll work closely with consultants, data scientists, and AI engineers on client projects, supporting analysis, research, documentation, presentations, and technical problem-solving. This is a practical, varied role with lots of exposure and plenty of opportunity to grow. You don’t need to be a hardcore engineer - what matters most is that you’re the kind of person who sees a problem and thinks “I can learn how to fix that.” Whether it’s building better analysis, improving reporting, experimenting with AI tools, or creating clearer client outputs, you’ll be hands-on and close to real work from day one.
Location: London (Remote with regular client travel to other cities)
Start Date: Immediate / within 2–4 weeks
Eligibility: Must have the permanent right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
What you’ll be doing:
- Research emerging AI technologies and identify practical client applications.
- Work with the team to design AI-enabled solutions for enterprise clients.
- Build and prototype solutions using leading AI platforms including OpenAI and Anthropic Claude.
- Analyse business problems and translate them into AI opportunities.
- Stay at the forefront of developments across Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents and enterprise AI adoption.
- Support team in AI strategy workshops with senior client stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality research, reports and executive presentations.
- Work with structured and unstructured data to support AI initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineers and consultants to deliver client projects.
- Evaluate AI model performance and recommend improvements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
