Job Title: Technical Analyst - Finance & Risk Regulatory Reporting

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Location: London (2 days per week onsite)

Daily Rate: Up to £850 per day (Umbrella)

Contract Duration: Until 31/03/2027

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial sector, is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Analyst to join their EMEA Cross-Product FinReg IT Platforms team. What You'll Do:

  • Lead the analysis, design, and delivery of innovative solutions for the Finance & Risk Regulatory Reporting function.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to implement essential solutions across EMEA.
  • Develop and evolve the FinReg IT Platforms delivery strategy in response to regulatory and audit requests.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with Regulatory Reporting process owners across various functions.
  • Support the Finance function by delivering timely and effective solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in Risk or Finance technology delivery roles at Commercial or Investment Banks.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive understanding of UK and EU Capital Requirements Regulation, especially around Credit Risk and Market Risk.
  • Basel 3.1 / CRR3: Strong understanding of Credit Risk, Market Risk and regulatory reporting requirements. FRTB experience is highly desirable
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and functional testing, with the ability to document solution designs.
  • Integration Expertise: Experience in implementing in-house and vendor solutions, both on-premise and cloud-based.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Agile Mindset: Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology, enabling you to drive quality and efficiency in delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business and technical analysis, defining epic and user stories for effective solution delivery.
  • Estimate, schedule, and manage the delivery of projects alongside developers and QA specialists.
  • Define and execute functional tests to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Prioritise and groom product backlogs in line with Agile practises.
  • Proactively manage delivery risks, ensuring timely escalations to the FinReg IT Platforms Lead.
  • Mentor team members in both technical and business domains.
