THE ROLE:
Our clients are looking for a Technical Analyst to join their team.
ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE
Sitting within the Cyber Defence Operations (CDO) team, the Insider Risk Technical Analyst plays a vital role in monitoring, reviewing, and maturing the company’s data loss prevention and insider risk control portfolio. Working at a technical level, you will collaborate with business stakeholders across the enterprise to contain active data loss events, fine-tune security policies, and identify opportunities for automation to optimize incident response workflows.
- Experience working in a SOC or Incident Response environment, with a strong focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview solutions, including policy implementation and fine-tuning.
- Practical knowledge of enterprise security platforms, such as SIEM, SOAR, Proxies, and DLP tools (e.g., Proofpoint, Zscaler).
- Core understanding of standard IT infrastructure principles and common methods of business data exfiltration.
- Proven ability to explain security threat risks, implement mitigations, and produce capacity/efficiency reporting.
- Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector is highly desirable.

SOME THINGS YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
- Monitoring and reviewing data loss incidents across multiple security systems in a timely manner within established SLAs.
- Partnering directly with user management and key business stakeholders to contain and mitigate data loss events.
- Escalating complex security cases to appropriate technical teams and ensuring thorough documentation of case resolutions.
- Collaborating with the global Insider Risk team to implement technical security controls across various enterprise tools.
- Proactively identifying policy fine-tuning opportunities and building automated detection logic to reduce manual operational effort.
- Generating operational reports that reflect control effectiveness, team capacity, and efficiency improvements.
