Job Description

This is a brilliant opportunity for a mid-level Technical and Business Analyst to join our Edinburgh office. In the role you will oversee the delivery of end-to-end solutions within the global Avaloq Digital Channels team. You will use your insightful knowledge of banking and wealth management processes in tandem with your technical expertise in customization, parameterization and integration.

  • Design, document and support the development of thought-out solutions within the team’s responsibility addressing customer requirements
  • Perform requirement analysis and create specifications in collaboration with software developers, partners and customers to reach agreed solutions, providing subsequent customization suggestions and addressing change requests
  • Follow and support the end-to-end solution, including know-how transfer to the teams who run the solutions for our customers
  • Coordinate your project team to deliver the agreed scope and act as the point of contact for the Project Manager and/or Product Owner supporting development
  • Support the software development team by explaining the customers' requirements
  • Define test cases in line with the customer needs

Qualifications

  • Experience working in Banking, Financial Services or Payments and knowledge of Digital Banking
  • University degree in Banking, Economics, Software Development, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Ability to apply technical understanding to comprehend, abstract and specify banking processes and requirements
  • Collaborative and open-minded approach to working in a multicultural and cross-functional team to foster innovation and learning opportunities
  • Proficient communication and stakeholder management skills, balancing a problem-solving attitude with the ability to temper expectations and push back when required

It would be a real bonus if you have:

  • A technical background in software development or related role
  • The ability to query and analyse data using SQL
  • A good understanding of web banking products, server queries and APIs
  • Avaloq Certified Customization Professional
  • Skills on Avaloq parametrization and Avaloq solutions know-how
