You've built the engineering foundations. Now you're looking for somewhere you can turn them into genuine technical expertise.
At Mandik UK, I'm looking for a curious engineering graduate who wants to develop into a technical product specialist within a growing engineering business.
You'll sit at the heart of the business, working between customers, Estimating, Controls, and Technical Management – gradually becoming someone people turn to when they need a technical answer.
If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems, and like the idea of combining engineering with people, this could be a great place to build your career.
About Mandik UK
Mandik UK designs and supplies specialist fire safety ventilation products and systems used in commercial buildings across the UK.
When the UK business was established, the team consisted of just two people. Today, they're a growing team of around 18 employees supporting projects across the country.
While they've grown quickly, they've worked hard to maintain the collaborative, down-to-earth culture that's been central to the business from day one.
What Will You Actually Be Doing?
A big part of your first few months will be learning.
Fire dampers, smoke control dampers, control systems, technical drawings, specifications, regulations – there's a lot to understand, and nobody expects you to arrive knowing it all.
As your knowledge develops, you'll increasingly become involved in:
- Answering technical questions from customers by phone, email, and Teams
- Understanding what a customer is trying to achieve and helping identify the appropriate product or solution
- Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project information
- Spotting missing information and asking the right questions before enquiries reach Estimating
- Supporting estimators with technical and product queries
- Working closely with the Controls and Technical teams to solve problems
- Building detailed knowledge of Mandik's products and how they're applied
- Helping improve technical documentation and resources
- Developing towards delivering product training to colleagues and customers
- Occasionally visiting customer sites when a project requires it

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
