Technical Applications Analyst

Location: Windsor - 5 Days On-Site
Salary: £35-45k + Benefits
Type: Permanent
No Sponsorship Available

The Role:

We are looking for a technically minded Applications & Integration Analyst to support, improve and develop our business critical applications and connected systems. This role would suit someone with approximately 2 to 4 years of commercial technology experience who enjoys working across applications, integrations and software delivery. You will work closely with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements, support releases and help ensure systems are reliable, well connected and continually improving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and improve CRM and other business-critical applications.
  • Work across connected systems, helping to develop, maintain and troubleshoot integrations.
  • Support API-based integrations and the exchange of data between applications.
  • Work directly with developers to investigate issues and deliver system enhancements.
  • Gather and document technical and business requirements.
  • Help translate business needs into clear requirements for development teams.
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with application releases, deployments and post-release checks.
  • Use SQL to investigate data, resolve issues and support reporting requirements.
  • Work with JSON payloads and API responses to diagnose integration problems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, usability and business processes.
  • Maintain clear documentation covering systems, integrations, changes and releases.

Skills and Experience:

  • Approximately 2 to 4 years of commercial experience within a technology-focused role.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar technical subject.
  • Experience supporting, configuring or improving a CRM or another business-critical application.
  • Good understanding of systems integration, particularly APIs and connected applications.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and JSON.
  • Exposure to Python and JavaScript.
  • React experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience working directly with software developers or technical delivery teams.
  • Some experience gathering requirements and supporting UAT, releases and application improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working within an application support, business systems, technical analyst or software delivery environment.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, authentication methods and common integration patterns.
  • Experience using ticketing, development or project management tools.
  • Exposure to Agile software development or structured release processes.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based or SaaS applications.
