What You Would Do
- Designing and documenting architectural patterns for microservices and API-driven systems
- Working with engineering teams to evaluate technology choices and define technical standards
- Leading the adoption of cloud-native and distributed system practices
- Mentoring technical leads and supporting capability development across teams
- Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Reviewing and refining existing architectures to improve performance, resilience and maintainability
- Supporting the definition of technical roadmaps and architectural governance

What You Could Bring
Must-have
- 5+ years' experience in systems architecture, with strong expertise in APIs and microservices design
- Demonstrated ability to lead architectural decisions in complex, distributed environments
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification valued)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Strong communication skills; ability to articulate technical direction to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-have
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
- Experience with containerisation, orchestration and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Track record of leading architectural transformation or technology migration programmes
