Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Technical Architect role based in Warwick. The Technical Architect will design and govern technical architectures that support digital transformation initiatives across policing and public sector environments. Responsibilities include translating business and operational requirements into scalable solutions, defining integration patterns, and overseeing solution and enterprise architecture standards. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, delivery teams, and suppliers to ensure technical designs are secure, compliant, and aligned with the Policing Digital Strategy. The Technical Architect will also provide technical leadership, review implementation approaches, support risk and issue resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement of architecture practices and guidelines.

  • Candidates should possess strong Technical Architecture and Solution Architecture skills, with experience designing end-to-end enterprise solutions.
  • Candidates should possess Software Development experience, including understanding of modern development frameworks, APIs, and cloud-native approaches.
  • Candidates should possess Integration skills, including designing interfaces, data flows, and interoperability between legacy and modern systems.
  • Candidates should possess Enterprise Architecture capabilities, including working with architecture frameworks, standards, and governance.
  • Relevant experience in public sector or policing, or in highly regulated environments, is beneficial.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills are required.
  • A degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud platform certifications) and experience with security, data protection, and compliance are advantageous.
