Technical Architect – C# / Azure / AI
Location: UK Remote
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
The Opportunity
We're working with an established UK technology business looking for an experienced Technical Architect to take ownership of the technical direction of its cloud-native SaaS platforms.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your days sitting in meetings producing architecture diagrams that never get built.
You'll have a genuine say in how software is designed, developed and delivered, working directly with the CTO and influencing engineering teams across the business.
It's a particularly exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, experimenting with new technologies and helping shape the future of products, including the adoption of AI-powered solutions.
You'll be stepping into the most senior purely technical position within the development function, with the freedom to influence architecture, engineering standards and long-term technical strategy.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of the overall architecture of multiple cloud-native SaaS products.
- Designing scalable, secure and reliable systems using C#, Azure and modern web technologies.
- Working closely with the CTO to help shape technical strategy and future product development.
- Building proof-of-concepts to explore new technologies and solve complex engineering challenges.
- Helping drive the adoption and integration of AI-powered solutions.
- Providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring across development teams.
- Designing event-driven architectures, microservices and API integrations.
- Influencing engineering best practices across security, DevOps, testing and cloud infrastructure.
- Reviewing technical designs and code to ensure high engineering standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
