This is a fantastic Technical Architect opportunity to work with a UK-based technology services organisation, shaping and delivering secure, resilient, and scalable technology architectures across cloud, infrastructure, and applications.
The Technical Architect is a remote working role, based in the UK, with a requirement to travel to a customer site in Bristol at least once per month. Additional travel to customer sites and team meetings may be expected, as necessary.
Candidates with current UK SC Clearance are strongly preferred, although candidates who are eligible and willing to undergo the SC Clearance process may also be considered.
As a Technical Architect, you will provide senior architectural leadership across customer and transformation initiatives, designing secure, resilient, and scalable technology solutions. You will assess existing technology estates and define practical approaches to cloud adoption, infrastructure and application modernisation, resilience, and technical debt reduction, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. You will work across infrastructure and application domains, producing architecture designs and guiding delivery teams to ensure solutions meet security, scalability, operational, and business requirements. Security and governance will be an important part of the role, with experience working within frameworks such as Secure by Design, CAF, CE+, and GovAssure. This is not a dedicated Security Architect or accreditation role; rather, you will need to understand how security and governance requirements influence technology architecture and delivery. You will work closely with customers, programme leadership, engineers, and delivery teams, combining strong technical architecture capability with excellent stakeholder engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
