Job Title: Technical Architect

Pay rate: £675/day

Clearance required: BPSS

Location: Huntingdon - duration will be based on workshop planned per week.

Sector: ET&U

Job Description:

  • Responsibility during design phase
    • Lead the technical architecture and design workshops with stakeholders to finalise and validate requirements based on the delivered document during the discovery phase.
    • Define and finalise the target architecture, system landscape, integration approach.
    • Develop and deliver the High-Level Design (HLD) document, covering application architecture, infrastructure, security, networking, integrations, and data flows.
    • Assess current-state architecture and identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and migration considerations.
    • Define non-functional requirements (availability, scalability, performance, security, and disaster recovery) and ensure they are incorporated into the technical design.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and integration teams to align architecture decisions and design standards.
    • Review and validate solution design against technical architecture guidelines.
    • Provide technical leadership, architecture recommendations, and effort estimations to support project planning and implementation activities.
    • Present the HLD to stakeholders, address review comments, and obtain architecture sign-off.
    • Support the transition from design to build and implementation teams by ensuring architecture requirements are clearly communicated.
