This is an exciting opportunity to support a major UK government organisation in the delivery of critical national security capabilities.

The successful contractor will play a key role in shaping solution architecture, engaging with senior stakeholders, and providing technical governance across a highly secure environment.

About the Opportunity

Working closely with customer stakeholders, engineering teams, development resources, and governance functions, you will provide architectural leadership and technical oversight across the full life cycle of the solution. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that directly support key projects and strategies. The role combines customer engagement, solution design, technical governance, making it ideal for an architect who enjoys working across both business and technical domains.

Your new role

As Technical Architect, you will:

  • Work directly with a key government customer to support the delivery and ongoing evolution of critical projects.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across customer, supplier, and engineering communities.
  • Lead technical discussions and customer workshops to gather, shape, and validate requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and architectural roadmaps.
  • Provide 4th line technical oversight and guidance for complex customer issues.
  • Produce and maintain both high-level and low-level solution designs.
  • Assess the impact of functional, capability, and security-related changes.
  • Review and approve technology proposals, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practice.
  • Support internal governance processes and CTO Office activities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on technical options, business benefits, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work alongside engineering and development teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
