What we’re all about…
At Agilico we’re on a journey to build a better future for our people and planet. We’re proud to be the UK’s pioneering Circular-First workplace technology business.
From supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, implementing a wide range of environmental initiatives, and achieving Net Zero status by 2030, we’re dedicated to integrating sustainable practices throughout our operations.
We want our actions to cause a ripple effect across our business, our customers, our network, and our supply chain. Every action, no matter how small, has the power to create meaningful change. Together, we can amplify our efforts and pave the way for a more sustainable tomorrow.
Overview
Agilico provides cloud-native SaaS business solutions, used both by customers and internally. This software is mostly built by internal development teams. The Technical Architect is a role focused on best practices, interoperability by design, reliability, and solving difficult problems.
At Agilico, the Technical Architect is separate from the development teams but provides them with working concepts and system designs. In addition, they will have technical oversight in terms of reviewing approaches, application designs, and implementation. The Architect is also expected to contribute to broader topics including strategy, security, infrastructure, and operations.
This role is considered a key strategic appointment with the ability to greatly influence the products we build and how we build them. It is currently the most senior purely technical role within the development area. The Technical Architect reports into the CTO.
The products we build almost entirely use leading-edge Microsoft cloud-based, web technologies. The core team is based in Northampton, but this role can be remote. It would be advantageous if the Technical Architect is able to travel to the Northampton office occasionally (around once a month).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
