Job Description
We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our External Sales department as a Technical Area Sales Manager. The candidate will be based within and covering the CB, LU, PE and SG postcode areas.
Our focus in external sales is to develop new business and grow existing accounts within the Private and Domestic sector in set geographical area, whilst actively promoting the complete product portfolio across all technologies. To deliver exceptional Key Account management whilst maximising efficiency and effectiveness.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Achieving defined targets across product range
- Building and maintain customer accounts across multi-tech Sales area focusing on Private & Domestic Installers, Merchants and British Gas
- Identifying all customer business opportunities and implement activities to develop strong customer relationships
- Taking personal responsibility for resolving local issues using commercial and business awareness
- Supporting our associated departments (Service, Marketing, Product Management, Logistics, Training, Internal Sales etc.) in dispute resolution between our core customers and the consumer
Qualifications
Skills & Attributes:
- Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently
- Detailed knowledge of industry, heating market, network and key contacts
- Good understanding of customer base, purchase potential and market
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and technical issues
- Ability to negotiate and influence at many levels
- Strong sales and key account management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills coupled with an ability to build relationships at all levels
- Computer literate with a good understanding of the PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel & Outlook packages
- Ability to operate on social media platforms and deliver key messages to our customer base via this medium
- To prepare and interpret management information and reports
- Ability to execute business change initiatives and maintain continuous improvement focus

37 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 16:30 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak.
