At Adur & Worthing Councils, we are embarking on a vital transformation journey. Following a comprehensive redesign of Adur Homes, we are overhauling our housing operations to deliver an outstanding service for our 2,500 residents. Our mission is to build a compliant, highly competent workforce that ensures every tenant lives in a safe, secure, and well-maintained home. With a formal regulatory inspection on the horizon this financial year, we are investing directly in our frontline technical and administrative operations.

Role

As a Technical Assistant, you will work closely with the Resources & Performance Team Leader to provide crucial administrative and operational support across our technical and repairs teams. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our housing stock remains fully compliant across key statutory areas, including:

  • Fire Safety & Risk Assessments
  • Asbestos Management
  • Electrical Safety & Testing
  • Gas Safety & Servicing
  • Water Hygiene & Legionella Control
  • Lifts & LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations)

In this varied role, you will manage compliance documentation, coordinate repair schedules, maintain accurate data records, and handle technical correspondence to ensure all safety standards are rigorously met. Prior knowledge or experience in landlord compliance, property repairs, or housing administration is a distinct advantage; however, full training and ongoing support will be provided to enable the right candidate to succeed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
