Technical Assistant – Aftermarket Operations

Derby or London Kings Place/ Hybrid (3 office days a week)
Full Time

We are recruiting a Technical Assistant for the Director of Aftermarket Operations and the Aftermarket Operations Leadership Team.

Aftermarket Operations is on an exciting growth trajectory with the success of this organisation critical to both Civil Aerospace and Rolls-Royce performance. This provides an opportunity for high levels of focus and visibility, internally and externally and a chance to join an agile and ambitious leadership team.

The Technical Assistant – Aftermarket Operations role is a fantastic career opportunity for an individual wishing to broaden their experience and enhance their visibility at a senior level, complementary to long term career aspirations of high performing individuals.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and deploying the meeting cadence for the Aftermarket Operations leadership team, ensuring key milestones and reporting requirements are achieved effortlessly through a high performing system
  • Leading the Aftermarket Operations communications cascade, including keynote events for Senior Leadership alignment and engagement.
  • Leading the collation and integration of operational and functional information to enable senior executive reviews, including with our Group CEO
  • Programme managing our Hoshin Kanri cascade and priority deployment into the business, alongside representing the voice of Aftermarket Operations collaborating with other areas of Civil Aerospace.
  • Leading preparation and where appropriate, hosting, senior external visits for external customers or members of the MRO wider network.
  • Support the Aftermarket Operations Director and first line team on critical requirements as requested.

Preferred requirements:

  • Great verbal and written communication skills with an ability to consolidate complex information into key messages
  • Leading programme management and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated high achievement in their roles to date within the Company
  • An adaptable and resilient style
  • Proactive leadership style with an ability to make judgement-based recommendations/decisions on behalf of the Aftermarket Operations Director
  • The ability to work with minimal instruction
  • Analytical approach and rigour
  • Commercial acumen and be outcome focussed
