Job Description: Technical Assistant (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Brecon

Join Our Technical Team

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Technical Assistant to join our growing Technical Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing who is passionate about food safety, quality, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Technical Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining technical documentation, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards. You will work closely with technical, production, purchasing, and NPD teams to ensure all product information is accurate and up to date.

Key Duties Include

  • Completing customer questionnaires and technical requests.
  • Maintaining technical document control systems.
  • Supporting traceability and mass balance exercises.
  • Trending and reporting quality performance data.
  • Assisting with microbiological and environmental monitoring programmes.
  • Supporting in customer and third-party audits.
  • Assisting with allergen and validation reporting.
  • Maintaining technical systems and records.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a food manufacturing technical role
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality systems, preferably BRCGS.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
