Technical Author – Aircraft Flight Manuals
Aerospace & Defence | 12 Month Contract
SC cleared or Eligible
Remote; Must be UK based
Outside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Technical Author with specialist experience producing aircraft flight and aircrew documentation.
This is not a general Technical Author position – previous experience working with flight, aircrew or operational aircraft documentation is highly desirable.
The Role
You will be responsible for producing, reviewing, and updating technical publications used by aircraft operating and aircrew teams, including:

- Aircraft Flight Manuals (AFMs)
- Aircraft Aircrew Manuals
- Flight Reference Cards (FRCs)
- Normal Operating Procedures
- Emergency Procedures / Drills
- Reviewing and incorporating engineering and operational changes
- Working with engineering and operational SMEs to ensure technical accuracy

- Military or civil aircraft technical publications
Previous experience within aerospace, aviation, or defence is strongly preferred.
