Synechron is looking for a Technical Business Analyst with hands-on experience in SQL and AI to support technology and data initiatives within Risk Management or Product Control for a global leading bank.
Role:
- Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Work with business, technology, data, finance, and control teams to deliver solutions
- Use SQL for data analysis, reconciliation, validation, and investigation
- Analyse data flows, integrations, data quality issues, and control exceptions
- Support testing, including UAT, defect management, and implementation
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI, and advanced analytics
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and maintain clear project documentation
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, preferably in banking or financial services
- Strong hands-on SQL and data analysis skills
- Practical experience with AI, machine learning, generative AI, or AI-enabled tools
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and business analysis practices
- Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, data mapping, and testing
- Domain expertise in either:
- Risk Management — market, credit, liquidity, operational risk, controls, or regulatory reporting; or
- Product Control — P&L, valuation, IPV, trade lifecycle, or financial controls
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
