Technical Business Analyst - Permanent Position
Location: Heathrow, 2 days a week
Salary: £50k - £52K
Security Clearance:
UKSV (United Kingdom Security Vetting) clearance is required for this role, with Security Check (SC) as the minimum standard, either already held or with a willingness to undergo the process. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS); details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed, or rejected. Details of this will be discussed with you at interview.
Strong Expertise In:
- Functional solution design and requirements specification
- Translating business requirements into detailed functional designs
- Writing functional specifications, high-level design documents
- Producing functional documentation, including process flows, system interactions, interface specifications, data models, and functional solution design

- Design end-to-end functional solutions that meet business and technical requirements
- Analyse existing systems, identify functional gaps, and propose solution improvements
- Define system behavior, business rules, workflows, and integration requirements
- Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, and Product Owners to refine and deliver the functional solution
- Own the functional design throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring the implemented solution aligns with the agreed design
- Support consultancy and solutioning activities
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating that delivered functionality meets the defined functional design
- Analyze internal & customer defects against expected system behavior, relying on internal documentation, technical logs
Experience With:
- API-based architectures, systems integration, and distributed applications
- Complex system landscapes and legacy environments
- Stakeholder collaboration to validate and refine solution designs
- Customer handling (solution / delivery presentations, feature demos
