Technical Business Analyst

Up to £85,000 + Benefits
London
2-3 days a week on site

We're supporting a large financial services organisation with a growing technology and transformation function, looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join their team in London.

You'll act as the critical bridge between Product, Engineering and Client Delivery, helping to translate complex business and client requirements into clear technical requirements that development teams can deliver against.

You'll have significant exposure to senior stakeholders, engineers, product teams and clients, while working on technology that sits at the heart of modern financial services infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Client Delivery Leads and subject matter experts to gather and refine detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure requirements are understood and correctly implemented.
  • Support backlog refinement and sprint planning, breaking down epics and features into actionable user stories.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders to capture solution requirements and validate delivered functionality.
  • Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring clear traceability between scope, requirements and delivered functionality.
  • Participate in design authority and change control processes, assessing requirement changes, dependencies and potential design risks.
  • Identify and drive improvements across requirements management, documentation and traceability.
  • Develop a strong understanding of specific platform components and technical workflows, acting as a subject matter expert where required.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirement elicitation sessions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
