Technical Business Analyst
Hybrid: Once every 1-2 weeks
ASAP Start
Location: Nottingham
Rate: £DOE Inside IR35
Contract: 6 months + extension
About the Role
We are working with a leading healthcare/pharmaceutical client who are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join their technology team.
This is a hands-on BA role focused on delivering customer-facing technology solutions, working across business and technical teams and taking ownership of solutions throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
You will work closely with Product, Technology, IT and wider business stakeholders to understand customer and business needs, translate these into technical requirements, and ensure solutions are successfully delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Own business analysis activity across projects from initial discovery and requirements through to delivery, testing and implementation
- Work with Product Managers, technology teams and business stakeholders to define and prioritise requirements
- Translate business and customer needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements and user stories
- Help define project scope, milestones, dependencies and delivery plans
- Work within Agile delivery teams to ensure product vision, scope and requirements remain aligned
- Act as the business/roadmap representative within delivery squads, supporting prioritisation and trade-offs
- Work closely with technical teams to help shape effective technology solutions
- Support testing, including UAT, defect assessment and prioritisation
- Ensure solutions meet the original business and customer requirements
- Represent business and leadership requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Work across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments where required

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering customer-facing technology solutions
- Experience working within the healthcare, healthtech or pharmaceutical sector
- Demonstrable experience managing solutions through the full project lifecycle, rather than purely requirements-gathering
- Strong understanding of software and technology delivery
- Experience working closely with developers, Product, IT and other technical stakeholders
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
- Experience creating requirements, user stories and managing/prioritising backlogs
- Experience supporting testing and UAT
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments

Desirable
- Previous experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Agile Business Analyst
- Experience working within a structured project delivery environment
- Recognised Business Analysis or Product Ownership qualification
- Wider healthcare/healthtech experience
