Job Description:

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset combined with technical understanding to ensure that business needs are translated into clear, actionable specifications for development teams.

You will work closely with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to support the delivery of scalable, high-quality technology solutions aligned to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Elicit, analyse, and document both functional and technical requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and aligned to overall solution design

Technical Collaboration

  • Act as a key interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
  • Work closely with developers and architects to refine solutions and clarify requirements
  • Support system design discussions with input on data models, integrations, and workflows

Solution Design Support

  • Contribute to the design of technical solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with architecture standards
  • Create process models, data flows, and system diagrams to support solution understanding
  • Identify impacts on existing systems and processes

Delivery & Testing Support

  • Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Support test planning, test case creation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet both business and technical requirements

Documentation & Governance

  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation (e.g., specifications, data mappings, API requirements)
  • Ensure proper documentation of integrations, system interfaces, and workflows
  • Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Business Analyst with strong technical exposure
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience working closely with development teams
  • Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and system interfaces
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Desirable Skills

  • Technical background (e.g., prior experience in development, engineering, or systems analysis)
  • Experience with data modelling and database concepts (SQL, data structures)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar
  • Knowledge of integration patterns or middleware platforms
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., BCS Business Analysis, Agile BA)
