Technical Business Analyst Consultant – AI & Digital Transformation
About the Company
Our client is a leading global business and technology transformation consultancy, helping major organisations design and deliver innovative digital products, services and technology solutions.
As part of a growing AI & Digital Transformation practice, they are increasingly supporting clients to identify and deliver AI and data-driven opportunities, embed automation and generative AI into digital platforms, and create more intelligent, scalable and insight-driven solutions.
The team is looking for a Technical Business Analyst Consultant to help bridge the gap between business requirements, technology, architecture and data.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile transformation programmes across a range of industries, contributing to the design and delivery of products and services that deliver measurable business value.
The Role
As a Technical Business Analyst Consultant, you will work closely with clients, product owners, developers, architects and QA teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
You will bring a combination of business analysis expertise and technical understanding, helping shape technical requirements, system integrations, data solutions and product development.
You won't be expected to work as a software developer, but you will need sufficient technical depth to understand architecture, backend systems, databases, data and technology delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business objectives and requirements into technical features, requirements and user stories.
- Work closely with architects, developers, product owners and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to the technical design and development of digital products and technology solutions.
- Analyse systems and data to identify problems, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Work with data models, database schemas and data manipulation, including data cleaning, transformation and aggregation.
- Support technical documentation, architecture and solution design activities.
- Facilitate end-to-end delivery from research and discovery through solution design, development, testing and release.
- Build, refine and prioritise agile backlogs for technical implementation.
- Apply an understanding of IT delivery frameworks and DevOps practices, including CI/CD.
- Work across different delivery methodologies including Scrum, SAFe and Waterfall.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions remain aligned with business objectives and user needs.
- Contribute to the wider consulting community through knowledge sharing, mentoring and capability development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
