Technical Business Analyst | Public Sector | Up to £350pd | Hybrid - 1 day/Fortnight in Newcastle

Contract: Initial 6-month contract - Inside IR35
Rate: Up to £350 per day
Location: Hybrid - Remote with 1 day every fortnight travel to Newcastle
Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS - SC eligible preferred
Start: ASAP

About the Role

Looking for a Technical Business Analyst with strong technical user story writing and proven API integration experience to join a major digital transformation programme.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements workshops and manage stakeholders to drive decisions
  • Own Epics / Features / User Stories in Jira with clear acceptance criteria
  • Map As-Is / To-Be processes, APIs, data models, interface specs & system dependencies
  • Translate business needs into technical specs & NFRs for Architects & Engineers
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies & blockers early
  • Ensure traceability to policy / legal requirements and GDS standards

Requirements

  • Proven Technical BA background in complex, API-led environments
  • Excellent Jira, backlog management & process / data flow mapping skills
  • Confident bridging business and technical teams
  • Able to work autonomously and deliver at pace
  • Public sector / GDS experience highly desirable
