Technical Business Analyst

London | £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits | 12-Month FTC

Are you a Technical Business Analyst, Application Support Analyst, Systems Analyst or technically minded Business Analyst looking to develop your career within a banking and fintech environment?

My client, a well-established international bank based in London, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join its growing Fintech team. This is an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of business and technology, supporting critical banking systems while contributing to automation, process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.

This role would suit someone who enjoys gathering requirements, solving technical problems, analysing data, and developing practical solutions using Python and SQL.

The Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will act as the key link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions. You will also play an active role in automation, application support, data analysis and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications.
  • Conduct impact assessments, workflow analysis and solution design activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users, developers, infrastructure teams and external stakeholders.
  • Develop Python scripts and automation tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform SQL-based data analysis, reporting and data validation activities.
  • Support application testing, system upgrades and software releases.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application and software-related issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Network and Desktop Support teams to deliver end-to-end technology solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
