About this Role
We're recruiting on behalf of an plastic engineered materials manufacturer with a strong sustainability focus, looking to grow across its key technical markets: Utilities, Infrastructure and Energy. Candidate can be located in Bristol / South West.
This isn't a product pushing role. You'll understand complex engineering challenges, and turn them into commercially viable solutions. You'll own opportunities end to end and help position the business as a long term technical partner, not just a supplier.
What you'll be doing
- Winning profitable new business across Utilities, Infrastructure and Energy
- Engaging EPC contractors, consultants, designers and asset owners early to influence specifications and material selection
- Owning opportunities from first conversation through quotation, negotiation and order
- Building value propositions that balance technical feasibility, revenue and margin
- Working with Technical, Product Development and Operations to shape solutions
- Building the commercial case for new or modified products and turning bespoke wins into repeatable solutions
- Delivering technical presentations, workshops and CPDs
- Keeping an accurate CRM pipeline and forecast
- Feeding market and competitor intelligence back into the business

- Proven technical B2B sales or business development experience in engineered products, manufacturing, infrastructure or similar
- Specification led sales or NPD experience
- Background in Utilities, Infrastructure, Rail, Energy, Construction or Industrial Manufacturing
- A track record of generating and converting new business
- Experience selling technically complex products or systems
- Strong commercial skills: pricing, margin, negotiation and pipeline management
- Experience engaging EPC contractors, consultants or asset owners at specification stage
- Credibility with both technical and commercial decision-makers
- Understanding of technical drawings, standards, testing or certification
- An engineering, construction, materials or manufacturing qualification
