How You’ll Make an Impact
As the Technical Business Development Manager, Agriculture Solutions, you will play a key role in driving market development, customer adoption, and commercialization of Lubrizol Agriculture Solutions technologies.
You will serve as a senior technical-commercial specialist, connecting customer needs, market opportunities, formulation challenges, and Lubrizol technology capabilities to accelerate growth. Working closely with customers, channel partners, Application, R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams, you will help turn innovation into scalable commercial opportunities.
- Lead strategic customer development initiatives that create demand and accelerate adoption of Agriculture Solutions technologies.
- Identify, prioritize, and shape technical-commercial growth opportunities aligned with Agriculture Solutions business objectives.
- Develop and lead customer co-development programs, translating customer challenges into differentiated technical solutions and commercialization pathways.
- Provide technical-commercial leadership across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between customer needs, innovation priorities, and business goals.
- Influence technical validation strategies, application development activities, and customer adoption plans.
- Generate and translate market insights into actionable recommendations that support portfolio development, innovation priorities, and go-to-market strategies.
- Build and maintain senior technical relationships with key customers, channel partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent Lubrizol as a technical-commercial subject matter expert through customer engagements, industry conferences, technical seminars, and strategic business discussions.
- Share best practices and technical-commercial knowledge across global teams to improve effectiveness and accelerate growth.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- Advanced Technical Degree (MSc or PhD) and/or MBA preferred in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agronomy, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience in technical, application, technical-commercial, business development, or product development roles within formulation-driven industries such as agrochemicals, agriculture, specialty chemicals, or related markets.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers and translating technical needs into business opportunities.
- Experience supporting commercialization of differentiated technologies.
- Proven ability to operate in global, matrixed environments and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong technical-commercial expertise with customer-facing experience.
- Strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify and shape growth opportunities.
- Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills across matrix organizations.
- Results-driven mindset with strong business and market acumen.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agronomy, or a related technical field.
- Experience in agrochemicals, agriculture-related markets, seed treatment, adjuvants, biologicals, or formulation technologies.
- Experience leading customer co-development programs.
- Experience supporting commercialization of new technologies.
- Experience working with strategic multinational customers.
- Understanding of agricultural formulation technologies and application systems.
- Experience supporting the development of new market platforms and growth initiatives.
- Experience working across multiple regions and cultures.
