About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Support Analyst to join our team, supporting a prominent global investment bank client. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery and ongoing support of IT solutions and services across diverse business areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both packaged and bespoke IT solutions, facilitating operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You will act as a key point of contact for technical support, incident management, and project delivery, contributing significantly to the bank’s technological resilience and efficiency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar technical support role. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical expertise, including proficiency with Windows Server, MS SQL Server, Oracle Database, Unix, PowerShell, Python, and familiarity with cloud technologies. Experience in managing application upgrades, patches, and vendor interactions is essential. A background in financial products and systems is highly desirable, providing contextual understanding of the banking environment. Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills are critical to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams. The ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Level 1 and Level 2 support for packaged applications and SaaS solutions, with escalation procedures in place for complex issues requiring vendor intervention.
  • Coordinating issue remediation activities and overseeing application upgrades to ensure systems remain supported and secure.
  • Engaging with Information Systems Security teams to address vulnerabilities and implement security best practices.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts for data transfers and application interfaces.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure high service quality and effective communication.
  • Supporting IT projects, ensuring they are delivered successfully and align with the bank’s standards and policies.
  • Continuously monitoring and improving existing systems, troubleshooting incidents, and providing timely solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
