Office Base role - Hybrid after probation

Are you an experienced Buyer with a technical or engineering background looking to join a global manufacturing group with genuine opportunities for progression, international exposure and long-term career development?

We are recruiting for an Technical Buyer to join a well-established international procurement team based in London. Supporting a diverse global manufacturing operation, you'll be responsible for sourcing engineering spare parts and assemblies from suppliers across Europe and beyond, helping to ensure the smooth running of manufacturing facilities across multiple international locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supplier negotiation, international sourcing, relationship building and working within a collaborative, supportive environment.

The Role

As Technical Buyer, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing RFQs and sourcing engineering components and spare parts
  • Obtaining, evaluating and negotiating supplier quotations
  • Preparing costings, quotations and margin calculations
  • Raising purchase orders and managing supplier relationships
  • Developing existing and new supplier partnerships
  • Working closely with engineering and internal stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Producing reports and maintaining accurate procurement data
  • Utilising SAP and ERP systems to manage procurement activity
  • Supporting international sourcing activities across Europe and the Far East

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • A qualification in Engineering, Technical Studies or a Science-related discipline
  • 2-5 years' buying or procurement experience purchasing technical products, engineering equipment or spare parts
  • Strong supplier negotiation and commercial skills
  • Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international procurement processes
  • Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP Business One
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
