Job Description
Surgicalbot Systems Ltd. is seeking a highly driven Technical Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development of next-generation robotic and AI-powered surgical technologies. This is a founding-level opportunity for someone passionate about healthcare innovation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and building scalable medical technology products from the ground up.
The successful candidate will work closely with the founding team to define the company’s technical vision, architect core systems, and oversee engineering execution from prototype through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s long-term technology strategy
- Lead development of robotic surgery platforms and AI-assisted systems
- Build and manage software, hardware, and engineering teams
- Design scalable cloud, embedded, and machine-learning infrastructure
- Collaborate with clinical advisors, researchers, and regulatory bodies
- Oversee product architecture, cybersecurity, and data compliance
- Drive rapid prototyping, testing, and product iteration
- Support fundraising, investor presentations, and technical due diligence
- Ensure compliance with medical device standards and regulations

Required Qualifications
- Strong background in software engineering, robotics, AI, or medical technology
- Experience building scalable technology products or startups
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and system architecture
- Knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, or surgical robotics
- Leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps, and cybersecurity
- Excellent communication and strategic decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous startup or co-founder experience
- Experience in healthcare, medtech, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with FDA/MHRA medical device processes
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
