Technical Compliance Manager

Coupar Angus, Scotland

Competitive Salary + Benefits + Progression and Development

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (Flexible start times with occasional night-shift audit support)

About the Role

2 Sisters Food Group is seeking an experienced and driven Technical Compliance Manager to join the Coupar Angus site, one of the UK's largest poultry processing operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the site maintains the highest standards of food safety, technical compliance, quality assurance, and customer audit performance.

Reporting directly to the Technical leadership team, the successful candidate will lead all aspects of technical compliance across the site, managing audit activity, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring full compliance with customer, retailer, legislative, and BRCGS standards.

This role would suit an individual with a strong background in food manufacturing compliance, ideally within poultry or meat processing, who is confident leading audits, analysing technical data, and influencing stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical compliance activities across the Coupar Angus site.
  • Manage and coordinate all internal, customer, third-party, and regulatory audits.
  • Act as the site expert for BRCGS Version 9 compliance and food safety management systems.
  • Maintain and continually improve HACCP systems, leading the HACCP team and ensuring robust food safety controls are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer standards including Tesco, M&S, Asda, Co-op and other key customer requirements.
  • Analyse technical and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Produce detailed compliance and performance reports using Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools.
  • Drive a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the site.
  • Support production and operational teams in reducing non-conformances and improving standards.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints, audit findings, and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure all technical documentation, procedures, and records are maintained to audit-ready standards.
  • Support occasional night-shift audits and site compliance activities where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
