Technical Compliance Reviewer (Food Safety & Packaging)

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 DOE
Contract: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to our Northwich office, typically 5 days per year)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Amtivo Group, a leading global provider of certification, inspection and training services, supporting organisations in over 40 countries. We're looking for a detail-focused Technical Compliance Reviewer to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety certification and compliance.

Whether you've worked as a Quality Manager, Technical Manager, Compliance Officer, Packaging Technologist, Food Safety Specialist, Auditor, or within a food manufacturing environment, your industry knowledge could make a real impact in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Technical Compliance Reviewer, you'll be responsible for reviewing food safety audit reports and certification decisions relating to food manufacturing, storage and packaging operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough technical reviews of completed audit reports.
  • Verifying compliance against BRCGS and other recognised food safety standards.
  • Reviewing non-conformances and corrective actions to ensure scheme requirements are met.
  • Assessing certification scopes, exclusions and technical accuracy.
  • Working closely with auditors and internal teams to ensure robust certification decisions.
  • Reviewing food safety incidents, recalls and certification status changes.
  • Supporting appeals, complaints and audit witness activities when required.
  • Participating in training, calibration and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

  • Food manufacturing or food & beverage production.
  • Packaging manufacturing or packaging quality systems.
  • Food safety, technical, quality or compliance functions.
  • BRCGS Standards, GFSI-recognised schemes or third-party certification environments.
  • Audit report review, CAPA management and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capability.
  • High standards of written communication and report review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to make balanced, evidence-based technical decisions.
