Company Overview
Prem Group is building a specialist technical services group focused on the building envelope access, roofing, cladding, surveys, and remedial works. We don’t operate like a traditional contractor. We diagnose problems, design solutions, and deliver high-quality work through specialist knowledge and strong commercial control.
Our aim is simple: Be the go-to team for solving complex building envelope problems.
About the Role
This is not a traditional sales role. This is not a pure surveying role. As a Technical Consultant, you will be trained to:
- Diagnose roofing, cladding, access and façade issues
- Advise clients on the right technical solution
- Develop scopes of work
- Price and convert opportunities
- Build long-term client relationships
You are responsible for turning technical understanding into commercial output. You will be out on-site, meeting clients, inspecting buildings, and identifying opportunities, not sat behind a desk waiting for work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out site inspections and identifying building envelope issues
- Diagnosing problems and developing practical, compliant solutions
- Building scopes of work and supporting pricing
- Managing your own client relationships and pipeline
- Identifying follow-on works and new opportunities
- Working closely with estimating and delivery teams
- Converting opportunities into live projects
- Owning your numbers and performance

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
