Technical Consultant (Technical Lead Internally)
Position Overview
As a Technical Consultant (Technical Lead Internally), consult, guide, and shape customer strategies and services within our defined areas of responsibility. Play a crucial role in designing and implementing the necessary tooling to align with our customers' digital roadmaps, while supporting day-to-day operations. This role predominantly focuses on Microsoft Cloud technologies, specifically the Modern Workplace and Azure technologies, requiring subject matter expertise.
Key Responsibilities

Consulting & Guidance
- Collaborate with clients to understand their digital transformation needs and provide expert technical guidance.

Design & Implementation
- Shape, design, and implement tooling and solutions to meet the requirements of customers’ digital strategies.

Technical Leadership
- Act as a key figure in internal and customer technical design authorities, establishing standards and approaches based on deep subject matter expertise.

Project Management
- Participate in project estimation and scoping, ensuring projects are accurately defined, delivered on time, and within budget.

Collaboration
- Foster strong relationships with Technical Operations, Account Management, Service Delivery, and the BAU (Business as Usual) teams to streamline support and issue resolution.

Monitoring & Governance
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational governance in Azure to ensure a strong security posture and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (compute, storage, networking, identity, collaboration).
- Proven experience designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions (across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, Conditional Access, and cloud security principles.
- Experience with Zero Trust principles (identity, device, data layers).
- Familiarity with Microsoft security tools (Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Sentinel).
- Expertise in cloud migration approaches (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, refactoring).
- Knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, firewalls, private endpoints, hybrid connectivity).
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across cloud infrastructure and services.
- Experience in project scoping and solution estimation (effort sizing, assumptions, dependencies, risk assessment).
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Security Engineer).

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
- Background in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of containerization and modern workloads (AKS, serverless).
