Technical Consultant – Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure

Brighton or Surrey – 2 positions available
£45,000–£55,000 + excellent benefits

James Adams is working with an established and growing UK Managed Services business to recruit two experienced Project Engineers / Consultants into its Professional Services team. This is a great opportunity for someone from an MSP, IT services or technical consultancy background who enjoys delivering projects rather than simply supporting established environments.

You'll take ownership of customer projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Modern Workplace, cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure, working with customers from initial discovery and planning through to implementation and handover. The environment is varied, so alongside Microsoft cloud you'll gain exposure to networking, security, virtualisation and wider infrastructure technologies.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering Microsoft 365, Azure and Modern Workplace projects
  • Planning and delivering Microsoft 365 migrations across email, files, collaboration, identity and devices
  • Implementing Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, Conditional Access and endpoint security solutions
  • Working across Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory and hybrid infrastructure
  • Configuring networking technologies including firewalls, switches, VPNs, VLANs and wireless
  • Leading customer discovery sessions and technical workshops
  • Producing implementation plans, technical documentation and project handovers
  • Managing technical risks, dependencies and project requirements
  • Working directly with customers, vendors and internal technical specialists
  • Providing technical guidance to more junior engineers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
