Technical Consultant
Hybrid working (2/3 days per week office based, Welwyn Garden City)
Up to 70k.
My client who are an established UK technology business that deliver Cloud, Connectivity and Communications solutions to a broad customer base. Are looking for a Technical Consultant to deliver secure, reliable technical solutions for customers across Microsoft, cloud, infrastructure and networking environments.
The role will combine solution design, implementation, consultancy and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver technical solutions based on customer requirements.
- Work directly with senior stakeholders to understand technical and business needs.
- Provide hands-on technical support remotely and onsite when required.
- Produce detailed technical documentation including RFPs, RFIs, SoWs, HLDs and LLDs.
- Support pre-sales activity, helping shape solutions and customer proposals.
- Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of internal IT environments.

Essential Experience:
- Eligible for SC clearance.
- Strong experience across Microsoft, to include 365, Azure and Windows Server.
- Networking experience with Juniper, Cisco or HPE technologies.
- Previous consultancy experience, including solution design, technical proposals and customer engagement.
- Comfortable combining project/design work with hands-on technical support.

Desirable:
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 or AZ-104.
- Cyber Essentials+, CIS hardening or similar security standards.
- Palo Alto or SonicWall firewalls.
- VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox or Morpheus.
- Server and storage infrastructure.
- Cloud networking and security.
- Networking certifications including CCNP, CCNA, JNCIP or JNCIA.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer-facing skills.
