Technical Consultant
Location: Essex
Salary: £34,000 - £60,000 DOE + Benefits
Are you looking to build your career with a growing specialist in Passive Fire Protection?
We are seeking a Technical Consultant to join an established and highly respected team based in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience from a construction or building services ideally with passive fire protection experience who wants to develop their technical expertise while working on a diverse range of commercial projects.
You'll work alongside experienced professionals, providing technical support. This is a varied role offering excellent career progression and ongoing training.
The Role
As a Technical Consultant, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by:
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and firestopping details.
- Providing technical advice to clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Identifying missing or conflicting information and raising technical queries.
- Supporting the selection of appropriate tested fire protection systems and products.
- Liaising with manufacturers, site teams, and clients to ensure technical compliance.
- Assisting with quality inspections and ensuring installations meet manufacturer guidelines and project specifications.
- Recording defects, variations, and remedial actions where required.

We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with clients and project teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing.

Desirable Experience
While not essential, experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Passive Fire Protection or Design Management.
- IFE Level 2 qualification.
- CSCS Card.
