About the Role

The Technical Consulting Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of survey specialists, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of compliance survey projects, ensuring operational excellence, quality assurance, and client satisfaction. The role acts as the primary client interface, providing expert interpretation of findings, strategic recommendations, and guidance on compliance improvement initiatives. The Technical Consulting Manager ensures all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Technical Consultancy Engineers and technical specialists, creating a high-performing and customer-focused culture.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of compliance survey programmes, ensuring quality, consistency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage multiple client projects from planning through to completion, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and within scope.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance of survey outputs, reports, and recommendations.
  • Act as the primary client contact, presenting findings, advising on compliance risks, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitor resources, workloads, and project performance, identifying risks and driving continuous improvement.
  • Support business growth by identifying opportunities to enhance services and strengthen client partnerships.

  • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
  • Office location: Moorgate, London (WeWork) with flexibility to work from home as agreed with line manager.

Key Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Experience managing technical consulting teams and client-facing projects.
  • Demonstrable experience overseeing compliance surveys, audits, inspections, or technical assessment programmes.
  • Excellent report & pricing review, quality assurance, and analytical skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client advisory capabilities, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable

  • Strong organisational, project management, and operational delivery experience.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Professional qualification in a relevant technical, engineering, compliance, or consultancy discipline.
  • Experience within regulated environments.
