Technical Data Author
Location: Newcastle One Trinity Gardens
Salary: DOE
At Hubexo, you’ll turn manufacturers’ technical information into clear, accurate product content and specifications for NBS Source and Chorus/Lattira Spec.
This is a role for someone who can bring construction knowledge and technical judgement to complex information: investigate gaps, question inconsistencies and explain the detail clearly. Your work will help architects and specifiers make informed decisions about the products they use.
What you’ll do
Working in our Supplier Technical Delivery team, you’ll:
- Write and maintain technical product information and specifications, researching missing details and resolving conflicting documentation.
- Classify building products and systems, define product variants and maintain structured specification and supplied BIM data.
- Review supporting documents and certification evidence, checking what they substantiate and raising unresolved technical or compliance questions.
- Work directly with manufacturers to clarify requirements, advise on product information and manage changes.
- Assess whether product information is ready for delivery, identifying gaps in scope, classifications or variants before work progresses.
- Review and publish content through agreed checks, and help graduates and trainees develop their authoring and classification skills.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll bring
You’ll have a relevant built environment degree—or equivalent relevant professional experience—and practical knowledge of construction products, systems and specifications.
We’re looking for evidence that you can:
- Write and edit accurate construction specifications or technical product content from manufacturer documentation.
- Handle complex technical information independently, investigate discrepancies and make sound judgements about the evidence available.
- Classify products and systems and work confidently with structured information.
- Interpret relevant standards and understand how BIM relates to product information and specifications.
- Explain technical requirements clearly to customers and colleagues.
- Organise your workload, meet deadlines and raise technical or delivery risks early.
Experience with NBS Source, Chorus/Lattira Spec, Uniclass or CAWS would be useful, alongside technical content publishing or coaching colleagues. These are desirable rather than essential.
