Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 + Bonus + Equity
The salary range for this role is broad, as we are able to consider varying levels of experience. Any offer made will carefully take into account level of experience (including relevant industry experience), transferable relevant skills and previous relevant achievements.

About The Role
We are looking for an exceptional technology and science communicator to showcase Riverlane's world-leading science and engineering in QEC. Working closely with our researchers, engineers, product and marketing teams, you will turn complex technical ideas into compelling stories that showcase Riverlane's technology advances, highlight advances in the wider QEC field, and amplify our continued progress and leadership in the field. You will lead the development of flagships content such as Riverlane’s annual QEC Report.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing.
What You Will Do
- Develop compelling content that showcases Riverlane's science, engineering and products across a range of formats including blogs, articles, white papers, video.
- Work closely with scientists, engineers and product teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging and accurate stories for technical and commercial audiences.
- Lead the creation of Riverlane's flagship thought leadership content, including our annual Quantum Error Correction (QEC) Report and regular updates on our comprehensive QEC technology roadmap.
- Highlight breakthroughs in QEC, fault-tolerant quantum computing and the wider quantum ecosystem.
- Work with technical experts across the company to build stories that explain new research and showcase engineering achievements in digestible language.
- Identify new opportunities and channels to engage technical audiences, working with colleagues across marketing and commercial teams to maximise impact.
- Use data insights to continuously improve engagement and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with colleagues in various functions to ensure alignment of messaging and data.

What We Need
- A degree in a scientific, engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent.
- Some experience communicating advanced technology.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain highly complex scientific or technical concepts clearly and accurately.
- Experience creating high-quality technical marketing or science communication content across multiple formats and channels.
- A proven ability to build trusted relationships with scientists, engineers and technical subject matter experts.
- Strong curiosity and the ability to rapidly develop a deep understanding of new technologies and communicate their significance.
- Experience working in deep technology sectors such as quantum computing, semiconductors, AI, photonics, advanced computing or enterprise software is highly desirable.
- The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on content creation, managing multiple projects from concept through to publication.
- Excellent editorial judgement and attention to detail, with a commitment to technical accuracy and high-quality storytelling.
