An established residential developer is looking to appoint a Technical Coordinator to join their growing Yorkshire team, based out of their Leeds office. This is a key role within the technical department, supporting the delivery of developments from planning through to construction, ensuring all technical information is accurate, coordinated, and delivered on programme.
You'll work closely with the Land, Planning, Design, and Construction teams to ensure sites are technically deliverable, compliant, and ready for site start.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the production and issue of technical information (drawings, specifications, reports) across multiple live and pipeline developments
- Liaise with external consultants including architects, engineers, and planning consultants to ensure timely and accurate information flow
- Manage the technical due diligence process for new land acquisitions, including review of ground investigation, drainage, and utilities reports
- Support the discharge of planning conditions and Section 106/278 agreement obligations
- Coordinate statutory approvals including Building Regulations, NHBC/warranty provider requirements, and adoption agreements (highways, sewers, LEMS)
- Attend and contribute to design team meetings, technical review meetings, and pre-start meetings
- Track and manage technical programmes, flagging risks to build programme or site start dates
- Maintain accurate technical files and document control systems for each development
- Liaise with the construction team to resolve technical queries arising on site
- Support the wider technical team with ad hoc reports, tender packages, and cost plan input as required

- Proven experience in a Technical Coordinator, Technical Assistant, or similar role within a residential housebuilder or developer
- Strong working knowledge of the technical process from land acquisition through to site start and construction
- Familiarity with Building Regulations, NHBC/warranty provider standards, and statutory approval processes
- Experience liaising with external consultants (civil/structural engineers, architects, planning consultants)
- Understanding of Section 106/278 agreements and planning condition discharge
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and competing deadlines
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising across land, planning, design, and construction functions
- Proficient with AutoCAD and/or relevant technical software is desirable
- A relevant technical, construction, or built environment qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) is desirable but not essential
