Technical Co-ordinator | Residential Development
I’m currently working on behalf of a leading UK housebuilder looking to appoint a Technical Co-ordinator to join their established Technical team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in residential development, housebuilding or a relevant consultancy environment who is looking to take the next step in their career.
The Role
Working closely with the Technical Manager, you’ll coordinate the technical design process across residential developments, ensuring drawings, approvals and technical information are delivered accurately and in line with programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating architects, engineers and external design consultants
- Managing technical drawings and production information through to Construction Issue
- Driving consultant information against agreed design programmes
- Managing Building Regulations and NHBC submissions through to approval
- Coordinating the discharge of planning and building control conditions
- Managing statutory enquiries, utilities, sewer connections and associated agreements
- Reviewing technical information against planning approvals and project requirements
- Working closely with Commercial, Construction, Land and Sales teams
- Monitoring professional fees and supporting project cost control
- Attending technical, design, progression and site meetings
- Responding to site queries and resolving technical/construction issues

About You
Ideally, you’ll have experience within residential development, housebuilding or a technical/design consultancy and a good understanding of the residential construction process.
Experience or knowledge across the following would be beneficial:
- Building Regulations and NHBC requirements
- Planning and technical approvals
- Consultant and design coordination
- House and/or apartment construction
- AutoCAD and/or Revit

A construction-related degree, HNC/HND or equivalent industry experience would also be advantageous.
You’ll be organised, commercially aware and confident dealing with consultants and internal stakeholders, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep technical information moving to programme.
