Technical Copywriter
We are currently looking for a Technical Copywriter to join our global Digital team. The role will support the delivery of an effective B2B content strategy, working closely within the Digital Content & SEO team to support our expanding library of expert guides and technical papers.
The role will involve interviewing and extracting critical technical information from manufacturing departments, engineering teams, and the commercial/sales teams. The objective of this role is to translate complex technical data and component specifications into high-quality, unique digital content that enhances brand visibility, drives organic traffic, and maintains our position as an industry thought leader.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Lead the research, technical copywriting, and creation of unique content for expert guides, technical whitepapers, and case studies.
- Conduct structured interviews with internal technical departments, engineers, and sales teams to extract detailed insights regarding manufacturing processes and product applications.
- Interpret and analyse technical data sheets, component specifications, and manufacturing data to ensure absolute accuracy in all digital assets.
- Support the implementation of the SEO content strategy by seamlessly integrating keyword research into highly technical, user-friendly copy to improve search rankings and organic traffic.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Product Management (PM), Product Information, and Commercial teams, to align digital content strategies and ensure consistent messaging across industrial segments.
- Ensure all written deliverables align with internal quality benchmarks, brand voice guidelines, and SEO best practices.
- Support the content marketing team to build strong contextual relationships between ecommerce product pages and high-value technical content.
- Research and keep up to date with industrial audience preferences, manufacturing trends, and technical sector developments.

Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in copywriting or technical writing
- Ability to understand, interpret, and accurately translate technical data and specifications
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to confidently extract info from subject matter experts
- Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field required
- Detail-oriented with a high level of written accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of SEO best practices, keyword integration, and on-page optimisation
- Positive and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software
- Direct experience working within the manufacturing, engineering, or industrial component sectors (Desirable)
- Experience with CMS platforms (Desirable)

This is a hybrid role with expectation of working in our Kidlington office 2/3 days per week.
